Winter Services Management with GPS
The Jarvis Winter Services module is the dedicated solution for monitoring and certifying winter road maintenance interventions: snow clearance, salt spreading and preventive treatment. Designed for municipalities, road managers and service companies, the system guarantees complete traceability of every intervention and produces certified documentation for reporting to commissioning bodies.
Dedicated Keypad by Service Type
Unlike generic tracking systems, the Jarvis Winter Services module integrates a dedicated physical keypad installed in the vehicle. The operator selects the type of intervention with a simple touch:
- Snow clearance: activation of the blade or turbine with automatic route recording.
- Salt spreading: recording of salt spreader activation with GPS referencing of the treated section.
- Preventive treatment: documentation of the prevention intervention including the substance used and dosage.
Each button press is recorded with a GPS timestamp, creating an immutable record of the intervention performed.
Mobile App and Web Dashboard
The operations manager follows the progress of all vehicles in real time through the Jarvis web dashboard and the iOS and Android mobile app. The map shows routes already treated (highlighted by intervention type), vehicles in operation and areas still to be covered, enabling optimal management of available resources.
Integrated Weather Alert System
Jarvis Winter Services includes an integrated weather alert system that monitors snowfall and ice formation forecasts for the areas of responsibility. Alert thresholds are configurable by the administrator: when a threshold is reached, the system automatically notifies operational managers via app and dashboard, allowing preventive interventions to be planned well in advance.
Monitoring and Reporting by Vehicle, Zone and Intervention Type
The platform collects and organises all operational data into structured reports, consultable and filterable by:
- Vehicle: working hours, kilometres travelled, interventions performed by type.
- Zone: roads and areas treated, frequency of interventions, territorial coverage.
- Intervention type: quantity of salt spread, snow clearance hours, preventive treatments carried out.
GPS Certification of the Service Delivered
The module’s distinguishing value is the GPS certification of the service delivered: every intervention produces an immutable documentary proof attesting to the vehicle’s passage, the type of service performed, the time and the exact GPS reference of the treated section. This certification is valid as legal proof with commissioning bodies and in any disputes regarding service regularity.
Automatic Reports for Municipalities and Road Managers
At the end of each period (daily, weekly or monthly), the platform automatically generates PDF reports ready for delivery to the commissioning municipality or road manager. Reports include: a summary of interventions by date and type, a map of treated routes and certified documentation of the work carried out. Reporting, traditionally a laborious process, becomes automatic and transparent.
