Training
Fire safety training is one of the core pillars of ICE & FIRE s.r.l.’s activities. We offer a comprehensive training pathway covering all levels — from the company fire warden to the emergency response coordinator — with programmes updated to the most recent legislation, in particular Italian Legislative Decree 81/2008 (Consolidated Safety Act) and the Ministerial Decree of 2 September 2021 (Fire Safety Management Decree).
All courses include a combination of theory and live fire practical exercises, ensuring participants gain immediately operational competencies.
Operational Courses for Civil Firefighting Teams
These programmes are aimed at operators within firefighting structures — Fire and Rescue Service, company brigades, volunteers — who need to acquire or maintain qualification for civil fire incident response.
Civil Firefighting Operators — Foundation Course — 12 hours
Entry-level course for personnel joining firefighting structures. Covers the chemistry and physics of fire, firefighting hydraulics, extinguishing agents, PPE, and intervention techniques, with practical fire extinction exercises.
Civil Firefighting — Fire House Simulation — 20 hours
Advanced programme for teams required to operate in civil environments involving fire and smoke. Covers civil fire dynamics, the use of breathing apparatus, search and rescue techniques in structures, and concludes with live simulations in a real “fire house”.
Civil Firefighting — Safety on Photovoltaic Systems — 8 hours
Designed to address the specific hazards of operations in buildings fitted with photovoltaic panels: principles of electrical engineering, system construction and de-energisation, operational safety protocols, and fire house simulation.
Specialist Personnel for Fire Emergency Response
Theory and practical training with fire intervention simulations and hands-on use of the company’s fire-fighting equipment, in compliance with current legislation.
Fire Service Team Leader — 28 hours
Programme for those assuming command of operational teams: firefighting hydraulics, intervention procedures, use of hydraulic rescue tools, fire chemistry, tactical intervention, PPE, live fire exercises, and radio communications.
Fire Service Operations Coordinators — 40 hours
Comprehensive training for coordinators of response structures: fire safety legislation, fire surveillance and prevention services, civil/industrial/wildfire interventions, hydraulics, fleet management, and inter-agency protocols with Civil Protection.
Fire Prevention Service in Public Entertainment Venues
Aimed at fire safety personnel in theatres, cinemas, sports facilities, live events, and entertainment venues. The programme — available in 16-hour and 4-hour formats — provides the competencies to ensure prevention and immediate response in the event of an emergency in front of an audience, in compliance with current legislation.
Company Fire Safety Training — Legislative Decree 81/2008 / Ministerial Decree of 2 September 2021
Legislation requires all companies to train their fire wardens according to the risk level of the activity. ICE & FIRE s.r.l. delivers all three levels provided for in Annex III of the Ministerial Decree of 2 September 2021 (Fire Safety Management Decree), in both foundation and refresher formats.

Each programme includes: principles of combustion, fire safety strategies (reaction/resistance to fire, compartmentation, evacuation, detection and alarm), emergency management, practical exercises with extinguishers, hose reels, and hydrants.
Fire Safety in Specific Premises
For activities subject to specific regulations, we offer dedicated courses that address the evacuation and emergency management challenges inherent to each type of premises:
- Residential care homes for the elderly — 16 hours: emergency management with non-self-sufficient occupants
- Educational premises (over 300 occupants) — 16 hours: urgent evacuation with pupils, including those with disabilities
- Hospitality premises — hotels (>100 beds) — 16 hours: emergency plan specific to hotel premises
- Hospitality premises (<100 beds) — 8 hours: adapted version for smaller establishments
- Safety and fire prevention in residential apartment buildings — 4 hours: specific risks (car parks, basements, installations), prevention, and evacuation procedures
- Maintenance staff on high-voltage electrical lines — 8 hours: fire emergency response on construction sites and distribution networks
- Hydroelectric power station staff — 8 or 16 hours: fire prevention and management in high electrical-risk environments
Fire Emergency Coordinators
Available in Foundation (8 hours) and Refresher (4 hours) formats, these courses are aimed at public body and company personnel responsible for coordinating fire brigades during an emergency. Topics include: response organisation, emergency communications, site-specific emergency plans, operational procedures, and a guided on-site inspection.
Fire Safety Systems and Equipment
Automatic and Manual Fire Detection Systems — 8 hours
Knowledge of fire detection and signalling systems, sector legislation, and selection criteria based on the areas to be protected.
Fire Extinguisher and Hydrant Network Maintenance — 8 hours
Technical course for those working in fire safety maintenance: powder, CO₂, water, and foam extinguishers (portable and wheeled), tank certification, pressure and flow measurements on hydrant networks. This course falls within the regulatory framework of the Ministerial Decree of 1 September 2021 (Fire Safety Controls Decree) — note: from 26 September 2026, maintenance technicians will be required to hold a specific qualification.
Practical Exercise — Use of Hydraulic and Fire-Fighting Equipment — 8 hours
Practical training day on motor pumps, electric pumps, generators, extinguishers, and fire blankets, with inspection and verification of the service’s equipment.
Periodic Exercise — Fire Prevention Service (S.P.I.) — 4 hours
Maintenance of operational proficiency for company brigades: fire chemistry, legislation, and intervention simulations using the equipment available on site.
Airway Protection — Breathing Apparatus
The use of breathing apparatus is fundamental for fire safety operators. We offer a complete training pathway, from initial qualification to periodic renewal, pursuant to Italian Legislative Decree 81/2008 (Consolidated Safety Act), Articles 74–79:
